Joik + Storytelling

Juhán Niila Stålka

I grew up in the south and learnt to joik from my father on our roadtrips north. I spent every holiday with my Áhkko and Áddjá (grandparents) in their cabin up towards Stuor Muorkke (Stora Sjöfallet).

I tell stories from around Jokkmokk and mix them with traditional joiks from the area.
